Adega de Borba presents the new Vinhas do Mármore range, consisting of a 2024 white and a 2023 red. Exclusive to the Horeca channel, this line celebrates the richness of the Borba sub-region, where the vines grow on red soils supported by marble, a distinctive element of Adega de Borba’s winemaking identity.
Produced from traditional and carefully selected grape varieties, Vinhas do Mármore are wines with a contemporary gastronomic profile, focusing on freshness, authenticity, and the ability to pair with a wide variety of dishes.
“This range is born from our commitment to valuing the origin and pure expression of traditional Alentejo grape varieties. It’s a proposal designed for the Horeca channel, where authenticity and quality make all the difference at the table,” explains Óscar Gato, winemaker at Adega de Borba.
Vinhas do Mármore White 2024
Produced from Arinto, Roupeiro, and Rabo de Ovelha grape varieties, this white wine is aged in stainless steel and reveals a well-defined citrus color. On the nose, it stands out for its good aromatic intensity, combining citrus and tropical fruits. On the palate, it is smooth and fresh, with dominant notes of citrus and tropical notes.
Ideal with fish, seafood, salads, or Asian dishes, it should be consumed between 8 and 10°C.
Vinhas do Mármore Red 2023
Based on Aragonez, Trincadeira, and Alicante Bouschet grape varieties, this red wine boasts a garnet color with violet hues. It boasts a fine, youthful, and fruity aroma with notes of ripe red fruits. The palate is fresh, fruity, and balanced, characteristics enhanced by the limestone (marble) soils of the Borba sub-region. Perfect with meats, baked cod, sausages, and cheeses, it should be served between 16 and 17°C.
With limited production and exclusive distribution to restaurants and hotels, Vinhas do Mármore reinforces Adega de Borba’s position as a benchmark for quality and innovation in the Alentejo wine scene.
