Adega de Borba presents the Alforge brand, made up of two Regional Alentejo wines, white and red, which guarantee the typicality and quality to which the consumer has become accustomed with all brands under the Adega de Borba seal. This new range is represented in bottle format (white and red 0.75L) and bag-in-box 5L (white and red) and 10L (red), available soon.

The name chosen for the new wine brand is a tribute to the habits, uses and customs that characterize the Alentejo culture, they are an identity factor of its people, which manages to last over time through generations, a heritage of cultural assets in a country with more eight centuries of history. The Alforge is a type of bag with two pockets, made from more resistant fabric, widely used in rural areas to carry items on the shoulder or on horseback.

With the aim of making this brand differentiating in its segment and easily recognized by the consumer, the image of this new range is presented in strong colors, similar to the saddlebag used on festive occasions, very rich in detail, floral motifs and colour.

We consider that the Alforge brand is made up of two young wines, fresh, fruity and with a certain complexity, which makes them wines very aimed at a younger consumer who values ​​the most current wine profiles.

Alforge Branco 2022
Under the technical direction of Adega de Borba’s winemaker, Óscar Gato, this wine was produced from grapes of the Roupeiro, Arinto and Fernão Pires varieties. It presents a good aromatic intensity of tropical fruits, with freshness. Ideal to accompany fish and seafood dishes on a daily basis.

Alforge Tinto 2021
Produced from the Aragonez, Castelão and Touriga Franca grape varieties, this regional Alentejo red wine has good aromatic intensity suggesting ripe red fruits. Soft flavor, fruity persisting. Ideal to accompany roasted or grilled meats.
