Produced from the 2019 harvest, this exceptional, well-balanced white is sure to please the most exacting of Adega de Borba lovers. The new vintage is the result of an extremely rigorous production process aimed at making Adega de Borba Premium White the best wine it can be.
Adega de Borba Premium Branco 2019 is an Alentejo PDO wine, produced using Arinto, Antão Vaz, Verdelho and Alvarinho grapes, selected from vineyard plots employing an integrated production system. Vineyards belonging to members of the Adega de Borba cooperative contribute greatly to the environmental sustainability of the Alentejo region. It has a citrine colour and a young and intense aroma, with citrus and orange blossom notes. On the palate, it is fresh and unctuous, with a balance of acidity, minerality and lingering tropical fruit flavours.
The grapes are hand harvested early in the morning, ensuring the fruit is at the perfect temperature. At the winery, once the grapes have been destemmed and crushed, the must is separated and pressed. The free-run must (the juice extracted without pressing) is clarified for 18 to 24 hours and fermented at a constant temperature of 18ºC for 14 days.
