Following the recent launch of the new image of Adega de Borba White, Red and Rosé wines onto the market, Adega de Borba also decided to renew the image of the Premium range.
The Premium range, from the Adega de Borba brand, is made up of three wines, white, red and rosé, produced with the regular consumption of demanding customers in mind. For now, the first image unveiled is that of Adega de Borba Premium White, a wine that results from the 2022 harvest, young and intense.
Like harvest wines, this new image maintains its distinctive “B” on the label, but now younger, differentiating and appealing to the sustainability values that the company has been deepening over the last few years, and which were recognized this year with the certification in the Alentejo wine sustainability program.
The Adega de Borba brand, the first to be certified in 1989 as a wine with Denomination of Origin in Alentejo, and the most important in the Adega’s range of references, thus confirms the desire to remain at the forefront of social and environmental responsibility values of wine production in the region, communicating this commitment to the consumer.
The three wines in the Premium range come from vineyards cultivated in “Integrated Production” mode, and in addition to the quality selected in the best vineyard plots, they take advantage of the long knowledge and dedication that winegrowers in the Borba region have dedicated to this crop for a long time. long years.
This new ‘B’ takes us back to the nature where the grapes are produced, and to Adega de Borba’s commitment to working with wine in a sustainable way. We know that our long history in the sector makes us even more responsible for conserving the natural resources we use in this activity, and we want to emphasize our desire to ensure their longevity for future generations. Making the best wine is only worth it if it is compatible with the best environment.
Adega de Borba Premium White 2022 is a DOC Alentejo white wine from the Borba sub-region produced from the Arinto, Antão Vaz, Verdelho and Alvarinho grape varieties. It has a citrus color, a young and intense aroma with notes of citrus fruits and orange blossom. Its flavor is very fresh, unctuous, with harmony between green apple acidity, minerality and persistent tropical fruits.
The grapes were harvested manually during the early hours of the morning, allowing the fruit to maintain a good temperature. At the winery, after de-stemming and crushing the grapes, the must is drained and pressed. The tear wort (wort that flows without pressing) clarifies for 18 to 24 hours and ferments at a constant temperature over 14 days. In winter, after stabilization, it is bottled.
