8 gold medals and 7 silver medals
2015 has been a year of true recognition for Adega de Borba. In the three competitions held by DWM, the wines from Adega de Borba were awarded 15 medals in total, 8 gold and 7 silver.
The results of the Asia Wine Trophy 2015 – South Korea 2015 were revealed this week. Over five thousand wines were sent for tasting. Adega de Borba was awarded three medals: gold for Adega de Borba Premium Red 2012 and Adega de Borba DOC White 2014, and silver for Convento da Vila White 2014. This is without a doubt a victory for Adega de Borba wines, being Asia one of company’s main export markets.
In the international competition Berliner Wein Trophy, Adega de Borba received awards for Adega de Borba Senses Syrah 2013 and Adega de Borba Garrafeira 2009. Held in Germany, the Berliner Wein Trophy has become one of the most important wine competitions organised with the support of Organização Internacional da Vinha e do Vinho (OIV, the Portuguese International Organisation of the Vine and Wine). The 2015 Summer Edition was held from the 23rd to the 26th July awarding over a thousand wines from all over the world.
In May this year, the jury of the second edition of Portugal Wine Trophy tasted 1287 wines with extremely high quality. Adega de Borba was awarded with four gold medals for Adega de Borba DOC Red 2013, Convento da Vila White 2014, Adega de Borba Reserva Red 2013 and Adega de Borba Premium Red 2011; and six gold silver medals for Adega de Borba DOC Rosé 2014, Adega de Borba Premium Red 2012, Montes Claros Reserva White 2014, Galitos Rosé 2014, Galitos Red 2013 and Galitos White 2013.
