Galitos:
Adega de Borba launches a recession red white and rose
Adega de Borba has presented a new image for its wine Galitos, a regional wine from the Alentejo, which is set to reach all consumers with a restyled look.
The wine is an offering from the Adega de Borba that offers an excellent quality to price ratio with hopes of reaching consumers concerned by current economic and social challenges.
The new image will be on all Galitos wine in bottles and bag-in-box, available on the market starting this month, showing an innovative and dynamic positioning without cutting the roots of tradition and quality that the brand has been built upon. The re-design of Galitos had the goal of modernizing and renewing the brand. The creative team started with the traditional values in Portugal, simplifying the graphical image with colors that are very “traditionally Portuguese” – red, green and yellow.
Manuel Rocha, CEO of Adega de Borba says, “Galitos is the entry brand into the wines of Adega de Borba. It is an Alentejo regional wine with high quality and a very competitive price, to which we have added a dynamic new and modern image. This wine is as an alternative to all consumers in this context of the recession … ”
Galitos is the Alentejo Regional Wine from Adega de Borba with a suggested selling price on the retail market of 1.30 € per bottle and is available in bottles of 0.75 L, 1 L, and 3L box, 5L and 10L into wine red, rosé and white.
Tasting Notes
Galitos Red: ruby defined by a scent of a young wine, with berries, typical of the grape Castelão. It has a pleasant fruity flavor with notes of strawberry, from Aragonez, combined with a slight freshness offered by the Trincadeira. The Galitos Tinto should be consumed young, at a temperature of 18-20 ° C, a good accompaniment to a grilled pork roast and grilled sardines.
Galitos White: color is a greenish hue with citrus aromas of tropical fruits and nuts. It has a velvety taste with ripe tropical fruit with a persistent and lasting freshness. This White Galitos should be enjoyed young, at a temperature 10-13 ° C, and is great with most fish, shellfish and white meats.
Galitos Rosé: a slight pinkish color of salmon, with an aroma of good intensity of wild berries and a balanced flavor. The wine is excellent when young and has a fresh taste and fruity finish. The Galitos Rosé should be enjoyed young (about 2 years after bottling) at a temperature of 9-10 ° C and is ideal as an aperitif or accompaniment to salads, pizzas, seafood and grilled white meats.
