Adega de Borba has just presented the first novelty for 2015, the vintage of Adega de Borba Premium Red 2012. After the great success of the 2011 vintage, this new one promises to continue on bedazzling the most avid wine lovers and specialists with a DOC Alentejo that is characterised by its elegant soft flavour and persistent finish.
According to Manuel Rocha, Adega de Borba’s CEO, this new Adega de Borba Premium reaffirms the quality of the Premium range our customers have already grown accustomed to. An elegant wine with a fine structure which sets the high standards we already have for 2015.
Produced from the Alicante Bouschet, Cabernet Sauvignon, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca grapes, Adega de Borba Premium Red 2012 has a well-defined grenade colour with great intensity. The aromas present a good intensity of ripen red fruits, jam and ripen pepper. The flavour is soft, elegant and characterised by strong tannins of black fruits, coffee and chocolate. Its fine structure is a main feature of Adega de Borba’s Premium range, as well as its strong and persistent finish.
Adega de Borba Premium Red 2012 is produced from carefully selected grapes cultivated in the oldest vineyards of the region of Borba. It aged in new French, American and brown barrels for 6 months and was bottled for a final ageing in the cellar for another 6 months.
In the past four years, Adega de Borba’s Premium range has won 15 awards in national and international competitions, among which the “Excellence Award”, Uva d’Ouro Awards, and the “Great Gold Medal”, Concurso Vinhos de Portugal in 2013.
