Adega de Borba Premium Liqueur has just been awarded a new honourable distinction in the category of Fortified Wines at 
the “Concurso Escolha da Imprensa 2013” (Best Press Selection 2013) which was held at the Hotel Real Palácio in Lisbon on the 8th November 2013. The competition awarded some of the best wines among 200 references that included Sparkling wines, Whites, Reds and Fortified Wines selected by a panel of 30 professionals in Communication, specialised in the beverage industry within the Portuguese editorial market.

Adega de Borba Premium Liqueur is characterised by its amber colour with red nuances. Its aroma is intense, rich and complex with hints of raisins, nuts and spices. The flavour is soft, fresh and balanced with notes of red fruits and jam. Long aftertaste.
This liqueur red is ideally served at 16 ºC as an aperitif, to accompany a dessert or as a digestive. The alcohol content is 18% and it can be consumed immediately after bottling or age in a cellar in proper conditions.
“Concurso Escolha da Imprensa” is one of the most well-known competitions among consumers as the panel of judges is composed by a number of people with very distinct opinions, tastes and backgrounds.
The wines were evaluated based on a scale from 0 to 20 points in different rounds which allowed the judges to distinguish the best of the best in all categories. All the wines awarded a distinction will be granted a participation in the tastings currently being held by the Encontro com Vinhos e Sabores at the Lisbon Congress Center.
Altogether in national and international competitions held in 2013, Adega de Borba has a total number of 47 awards, thus restating its prominent position in the national viticulture sector.
