Albufeira has more to offer than its beaches. Eating a nice meal is also one of the other many things one can do. Our suggestion is the Veneza Restaurant, founded in 1983, with history that dates back to 1954. This place has already been presented to us in many ways: a café, a grocery store, a show hall… Dancing Veneza witnessed performances of well-known artists such as Badaró, Vítor Espadinha, Joel Branco, Bric à Brac, António Variações, and many others. This space once dedicated to the shows gave room to the current wine cellar, where one can see many wonderful wines from Adega de Borba.
In 1983, Maria José, the wife of the owner whose name is Manuel, took over the kitchen although she didn’t actually know how to cook. But this fact was actually denied when she won in 1997 the first prize of the Albufeira Food Festival.
The wine cellar – that has already won many prizes – functions side by side with the restaurant. Would you like a suggestion? Adega de Borba wines while you enjoy the peace and quiet only the Algarve has to offer.
