Life is always in motion on the countryside. The vegetative cycle spreads new colours throughout the vine. The inflorescence FotoFlor2becomes yellow due to the blossoming of the flowers. This symbolises the moment of fertilisation, also known as setting. It is a time of joy and happiness, because the grape berries start to appear.

Colour isn’t everything! The branches start to fill up with berries and each single one of them increases in size until it reaches its normal volume. This crucial step of the vegetative cycle indicates what the future production might be like.

As days go by, a greater joy blossoms and one can see the plant’s development and the fruits that begins to form itself. The vines start to overflow with life and the vegetative growth is intense.

For the plant to be extremely healthy and in order to provide the best fruits, man has to step in and domesticate the grapevine. He cuts some shoots and straightens the tops of the leaves, as these will allow the leafage to grow beautifully. The nice aeration of the bunches is crucial during the month of July, which promotes the colouring of the grapes’ berries – the onset of ripening.
