The weather plays its part and on the vines the nature accomplishes the tasks the farmers are awaiting. The life of the grapevines hasn’t had any major issues and the year has passed by so as to achieve the good results at the end of the wine year: the harvest period.
Altough it is yet early for a proper diagnosis, the plants are responding in a typical way for the period known as “the painter”.
The popular designation gathers the things that are most beloved and defines the natural process in perfection. The painter period is identified by the change in the colour of the grapes. Up until now, they were green, having already started to gain their natural colour.
To categorise the grapes as red and white is simple and generalised, as each grape has its own particular colour and we need to take into account their localisation and natural evolution. By saying this, we mean the vineyards are like a painter’s palette. Once a little boy said the grapes were like sweets, round and sold in thin tubes. It is so indeed: the pinter is a synonym of colour.
