Young and joyful wines for the summer

Summer asks for lighter, more seductive and fresher wines that taste like heaven under the hot sun, wines to enjoy in every unique moment, to accompany any type of light meal. Adega de Borba could not at all forget the happiest moments when there are no problems in our minds. For that reason we are also careful about the price of our products. The motto is joy and a good quality-price relation.

The offer for the warm days is composed by Adega de Borba White 2011 (2.99 €), Adega de Borba Rosé 2011 (2.99 €), Montes Claros Colheita White 2011 (3.46 €) and Senses Alvarinho 2011 (4.99 €).

Adega de Borba’s winemaker, Óscar Gato, defines Adega de Borba White 2011 as a wine with “a well-defined citrus colour. It has a good aromatic intensity in which tropical and citrus fruits are combined. The flavour is soft with a predominance of lime and a persistent finish of citrus fruits.”

Although it is not a common practice to produce sweet rosé wines, Adega de Borba presents the consumer a differentiated wine that combines complementary notes which stress this wine’s virtue and good gastronomic capacity. Óscar Gato defines it as having a “soft rosé colour. The aroma has a good intensity of red plums. The flavour is balanced, fresh with a fruity bittersweet finish.”

In the winemaker’s own words, Montes Claros Colheita 2011 is a wine “with a citrine colour of ripened lemon, a wonderful aroma and good intensity with hints of tropical and dried fruits. It has a nice balance and a youthful sensation, a fruity ripened flavour and persistent finish.”

In this pleasant offer, a highly gastronomic wine could not of course be forgotten: Senses Alvarinho 2011. Óscar Gato points out this wine’s main characteristics: “citrus colour; an intense aroma of cristalised tropical and citrus fruits. The flavour is unctuous, very fresh with notes of honey, yellow stone fruits and a hint of vanilla. Very fresh in the aftertaste.”
